"If you aren't making a difference in other people's lives, you shouldn't be in business - it's that simple".
Paul Elliot Smith
Word Gets Around are an ideas led, marketing driven graphic design company established in 2011.
We value people first, and like to provide a personal, yet professional business relationship. We work closely with you to get to the key objectives and create a visual solution that will deliver and delight.
We help nourish new businesses and help re-energise those that need to look at things a little differently.
We believe in the true power of word of mouth where reputation allows us to grow with happy clients that champion what we do. At our core we believe business must be a force for good, a work in progress to always learn and shape our journey.
At any one time, our projects are likely to involve the design of corporate identities, digital marketing, packaging, magazines, promotional material, annual reports, signage, websites, photography, digital communication systems, and exhibitions.
Word Gets Around work with a number of creative associates to ensure we deliver on a wide range of projects. We work with web developers, copywriters, videographers, photographers and other designers, drawing on their unique style or expertise as and when required.
It is all of the above — doing work that is consistently strong, smart, distinctive, memorable and different — that has seen Word Gets Around as a company that gets people talking and one that continues to grow.
Locally we also run Word Gets Around Business Networking and Word Gets Around Taunton, a local community magazine.
As well as being the writer of probably the best mummy blog in the TA1 postal code area, I’m also a freelance marketing and social media consultant, copywriter and trainer. I work with brands on everything from social media strategy to blogging and I love public speaking and training – anything that involves me being the centre of attention and getting to put together slides.
I am basically a word whore.
I have has worked with multiple big name brands including Tesco, Disney and Unilever and has been on all kinds of adventures with my blog, from skiing in the Alps to cooking traditional pancakes in Ethiopia.
I have a combined social media following of over 65,000, and am a bit of a Twitter addict.
I'm the author of the blog Slummy single mummy, a Cision top five UK parenting blog that has netted several blogging awards and accolades since its launch in 2009. My blog covers the highs and lows of parenting alone, working from home and searching for Mr Right whilst all the time trying to maintain a basic level of sanity and my mixture of honesty and humour is hugely popular with parents and non-parents alike.
